May142012Today's playlist is from pitmaster Patrick Martin of Martin's Barbecue Joint in Nashville, Tennessee.
Of the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party, of which Patrick and Martin's Barbecue Joint has participated in for multiple years, he's said:"It's just such a great event, arguably the best in the nation and it just stuns me every year how awesome the people are"...We couldn't agree more and right back at you buddy.May082012Like the signature Baby Back Ribs at 17th Street BBQ, music is a family affair. And as such, this edition of "Pitmaster Picks" features `cue tunes selected by pitmaster Mike Mills, along with those picked by his children, grandchildren and the staff at 17th Street. So whether you're a fan of Black Eyed Peas or Glen Campbell, chances are it's a playlist the whole family will enjoy jamming out to!
(Disclaimer: the Mills family chose Jewel's version of "Sweet Home Alabama", though the player doesn't stock it so we've added the iconic tune from Lynyrd Skynryd in its place.)May072012Congratulations to friend and Big Apple Barbecue Block Party supporter, John T.
